Artist's Comments

Just finished up my latest piece ..a commission on a 15x20 watercolor paper, in pen & ink in pointillism.
This piece was a real challenge.reason being I usually work with a 00(.30) koh-i-noor pen.But my luck she hit the floor ..cap off :(
So my next choice were the pens I been saving for who knows what( really fear as they are tempermental),6x0(.13) & 4x0(.18).
These pens produce the smallest dott..so buildilng up the various greys & blending them were maddening.
Worked on this piece day & night(can't recall how many days or hours)quitting when the migrains got too bad. Hope you enjoy.. me I'm off to take some meds & a nap.
I've included a detail photo of the pilot-canopy area compared to a 2 center meter candy to show you the dott & maddening detail.
Later y'all.

Good Lord, Bobby! Very, very cool piece, but...is there enough money in the world to make it worth it?)
Wow.

Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.

What ever they paid you, it wasn't enough! I will not do this size again, unless someone is paying or it's something incredibly important. The last one I did this size took me two years and the background was full of rocks. How long did this beautiful piece, just in time for 'Terminator Salvation', take you?!

A very sharp illustration. I am pleased you included a detail shot to allow examination of your technique.
